Vela’s ArgoNavis HD encoding system is a
realtime encoding solution designed for a
broad range of professional applications. The
ArgoNavis HD Recorder solution supports
High Definition MPEG4 H.264 and MPEG-2
encoding at 1920x1080i and 1280x720P resolu-
tions at both NTSC (29.97) and PAL (25) frame
rates, and 1920x1080P encoding at
Cinema/Blu Ray (23.976/24) frame rates.
Additionally, the ArgoNavis HD Recorder
supports Standard Definition encoding pro-
files in both NTSC and PAL, making it one of
the most flexible encoding solutions on the
market.
Based on Vela’s Emmy winning hardware
encoding and video processing technology,
the ArgoNavis HD provides a cost effective,
standards based, realtime, encoding/record-
ing solution to IT Managers, Medical
Professionals, Educators, and anyone requir-
ing high quality video capture and distribu-
tion.
The ArgoNavis HD Recorder includes play-
back capabilities with professional grade decoding codecs and physical outputs. The
ArgoNavis HD Recorder provides optional input/output configurations, including Analog
(Composite, Component, Audio) and HDMI only, or HD/SD SDI only, or fully configured
Analog, HD/SD SDI, and HDMI options providing end users with the flexibility they
require.
The ArgoNavis HD Recorder includes the latest Vela CinemaCapture software, an intuitive,
easy to use interface designed for use with touchscreens, foot switches, or traditional input
sources such as a mouse and keyboard. The ArgoNavis also includes a User Interface that
allows VTR/Device control through BVW and frame accurate encoding.
